URGENT NOTE – We are receiving phone calls from numerous facilities throughout the state that are seeking LCDC’s, and Counselor Interns; there are numerous opportunities.

Continuing education workshops are monitored and approved by TCBAP.
The Institute for Chemical Dependency Studies is the school
that will provide the 270 required education hours and the 300 hours of
supervised practicum necessary to become an LCDC. The Texas Workforce
Commission regulates us as a

Institute
for Chemical Dependency Studies
To become a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, you must complete a 270-hour education course, a 300-hour practicum and 4000 hours (2 years) as a supervised intern. You will also be required to pass a written and oral exam and acquire an Associates Degree in Counseling.
